Ofsted Inspection Report 15th - 16th April 2010
Dear Parents & Carers
I am very pleased to send you the report received this week following the inspection of our school by OFSTED on 15th & 16th April 2010. We are very proud of the fact that our school has been judged as an ‘OUTSTANDING’ school with strengths in many areas.
Inspectors have praised our “very happy school” and our pupils who “behave impeccably in lessons and around the school.” They go on to describe “their enthusiasm and enjoyment of learning” and how “classrooms buzz with excited chatter of children discovering new things and sharing ideas in groups and with partners.”
The inspectors enjoyed their visit to our school. The children and staff are rightly proud of their school and this has been recognised in the report. It is very pleasing that the quality of teaching has been judged as outstanding as have many aspects of care, guidance and support given to pupils.
The inspectors discussed with us the areas we felt would move the school forward even further. We have agreed 2 key issues; are to further develop our curriculum to offer more opportunities to apply basic skills and the second to promote awareness of global societies, religious and cultures.
Finally, thank you to our governors and to you for the overwhelming support expressed in the parental questionnaire.
We are delighted to be judged as an outstanding school and we are looking forward to working with our children and our community on our key issues.
I am very pleased to send you the full copy of the report (PDF format) following our recent Ofsted inspection. This report includes a letter to the pupils from the inspectors. The report will also be published on the Ofsted website.
If you have any queries or comments about the report please contact me at school.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Reynolds
