Ofsted Inspection Report February 2007-03-12
Dear Parents & Carers
I am very pleased to send you the full copy of the report following our recent Ofsted inspection. This report includes a letter to the pupils from the inspectors. The report will also be published this week on the Ofsted website.
The inspectors described out school as a ‘good school with some outstanding features.’ In particular, they highlighted the pupils’ personal development and well-being as outstanding. Throughout the report the inspectors describe our children as:
- "Well motivated and keen to make the most of everything the school has to offer."
- "polite, friendly and eager to take on responsibilities."
- "‘behaviour is exemplary and strong relationships abound."
- "spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is outstanding."
- "eager, happy learners."
The school is praised for its:
"outstanding commitment to the inclusion of all pupils and this full acceptance and valuing of all learners is central to the vision and success of the school."
The report also identifies one action point for improvement. This involves improving the quality of feedback to pupils in order to improve the quality of writing. The inspectors recognised that we had identified this as an area for development ourselves and have put this as our main priority in our School Improvement Plan. We will continue to make this our key priority and involve you wherever possible.
All aspects of the school’s work has been judged as good or outstanding. We are very proud of this and thank you for the part you play in creating such a positive place for our children to "flourish". As the inspectors state, we are "highly committed to improving pupils’ academic achievement" and will continue to work tirelessly for all pupils.
If you have any queries or comments about the report please contact me at school.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Reynolds
