Walking Bus Raises £100 for Children in Need!
The volunteers and walking bus children at Unsworth Primary held a sponsored ‘odd sock’ walk to school to raise funds for Children In Need 2007.
 The fundraising organiser Mrs Marianne Thurm said, “We were all very proud of ourselves for ‘Doing Something Different’ to raise money for such an important cause”.
The 2 walking buses operate during term time on Tuesday mornings from Harris Drive and Wednesday mornings from Swinton Crescent. The routes cover Parr Lane, crossing with the School Crossing Patrol, along Chadderton Drive and Blackley Close until it reaches the school playground.
Our walking buses leave from:
- Harris Drive/Kennedy Drive (08:35)
- Swinton Crescent/Parr Lane (08:35)
Each bus has stops enroute to school.
We will shortly be commencing our third walking bus route via Rhodes Drive. Further details to be announced.
