Walking Bus News
Our Walking Bus has started. Come and join us!
The volunteers and the walking bus children at Unsworth Primary held a sponsored ‘welly’ walk to school, and a Match the Pudsey competition, to raise funds for Children In Need 2008.
We raised £260 in total so well done all!
The fund-raising organiser Mrs Marianne Thurm said, “We were all very proud of ourselves for ‘Doing Something Different’ to raise money for such an important cause”.
The co-operative sponsored walking buses operate during term time on Tuesday mornings from Harris Drive, Wednesday plus Friday mornings from Swinton Crescent and Thursday morning from Rhodes Drive.
You can read more about the Unsworth walking bus, in a recent article published by The Times Newspaper.

Anyone who would like to join should speak to Mrs Lancashire in the office who will be pleased to add your child to our list. It doesn't cost anything - and you don't have to walk yourself although we do of course need plenty of volunteers.
We look forward to meeting you!
